Taylor's Eyes

OK, so I guess you have probably noticed that I went a little crazy on the blogging today. I guess I just have a lot to share. I am trying to get caught up too for not having shared very often in the past. I am sorry if I am overdoing it.

This is the week of doctor appointments. Taylor had her speech therapy this morning and we just got back from the eye doctor. Most of you already know that Taylor has an eye condition called a strabismus. All it means is that when her brain gets tired of focusing it causes her eyes to cross outward. Basically one eye strays out. It is not critical and does not require surgery or therapy. Dr Tu is confident that Taylor will outgrow this. I think one of her cousins had this same problem and his eyes are fine now (he is 3). I really notice it more when she is tired or not feeling well. Her vision is fine and she doesn't even need glasses. We are glad for that. So, for now we are just keeping an eye on it (no pun intented) and she is to go back in a year. That is good news.

Taylor has her 18 month well visit with Dr. Evans on Friday. Usually Daniel goes with me to all of her appointments but he is having to cover for a coworker this week and will not be able to take off early. This means I'll have to drive to Albany by myself. What fun! I am planning to take her to a little shoe store there to look for some more sandals. She needs some dressier ones for church. She is growing so fast! Well, one doctor down, one to go.
